The foundation is Chile’s first public-private collaboration initiative for the conservation of an endangered bird, the little peruvian tern (Sternula lorata ), in a way that is compatible with the community’s industrial development.
Efforts are focused on a plan to preserve and protect the little tern population through activities to raise awareness of the species in the community and among companies so economic activities may coexist with endemic fauna protection.
