The dry bulk terminal expansion will boost mining exports from the north, which are key for the region and the country’s growth.
The project involves building a new berth for mining concentrate transfer at the current dry bulk terminal and is being executed by the concessionaire, Terminal de Graneles del Norte S.A. (TGN).
The initiative is part of CPM’s development plan for the coming years, as well as the port plan for orderly port facility growth.
The sustainability of port activities is a priority for CPM, in alignment with community expectations for companies. Hence, the project will be developed according to a series of parameters and requirements that minimize any possible environmental impact in the construction stage, start-up and operation.
